Governor Chris Christie Confirms for SRLC
Becomes the 11th Potential GOP Presidential Candidate to Confirm for the Southern Republican Leadership Conference
(Oklahoma City)— New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, one of the nation’s most high-profile governors and likely presidential candidate, has confirmed as a keynote speaker at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference to be held in Oklahoma City next week.
Christie is the eleventh national leader and potential and potential 2016 presidential candidate to confirm for the conference behind Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Lindsey Graham former Senator Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Dr. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, and Governor Rick Perry. Former U.N. Am-bassador John Bolton, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and U.S. Senator James Lankford will be addressing the conference as well.

Gov. Christie was re-elected to a second term as chief executive of New Jersey with over 60% of the vote. He was a pivotal leader of the Republican Governors Association in the 2014 campaign cycle when they successfully increased the number of governorships in GOP hands to 31 and captured the governor’s mansion in four Democratic-held states.
The Southern Republican Leadership Conference will be held in Ok-lahoma City on May 21st – 23rd. The “Energy Capital of America”, the event promises to be one of the largest attending political events of the year and will end with a 2016 Presidential Straw Poll. Dozens of invites to governors, congressional leaders and other Republican lu-minaries have been extended, and additional confirmations are ex-pected in the coming days and weeks.
