Tuesday, Coburn shared his strong views on Donald Trump.
“I don’t think he has the personal characteristics to represent this country in a legitimate way. You know, the brashness will put off people in terms of dealing with foreign people. Number two, the way he talks to people and about people lacks a certain amount of compassion. He knows how to draw people’s fears, he’s done a good job of that, but so have a lot of other bad leaders, done the same thing to get elected. No, I’m not a Trump fan — that doesn’t mean that he’s not a legitimate candidate, it doesn’t mean he’s not a smart man…he is…I just can’t see us having him as our president.”
