2016: Cruz, Bush Investing In Oklahoma Ahead Of GOP Primary

Bush, Cruz organizations investing dollars ahead of Oklahoma primary

WASHINGTON — With most of the focus on early voting states, few presidential campaigns or related organizations have committed money to Oklahoma for its March 1 contest.

A check of Oklahoma TV station records and FEC reports shows only the Super PACs for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz have put ad dollars into the Sooner state.

Under federal law, the political action committees are not allowed to coordinate with candidate campaigns.

Federal Election Commission records of independent expenditures show the Super PACS for Cruz and Bush have bought media time and “promotional items.”

The PAC for Cruz, Keep the Promise, has also spent $19,500 to identify voters.
