Inhofe, Coburn Rank High On Club Scorecard

OKLAHOMA CITY – Both of Oklahoma’s U.S. senators rank highly on a scorecard released by the conservative group Club for Growth.

U.S. Sens. Jim Inhofe and Tom Coburn each scored in the 90 percent range on the 2013 scorecards released Monday by the Washington, D.C.-based group that supports policies of lower taxes, economic freedom and limited government. Of the 535 members of Congress, the two were among 31 selected for the group’s Defender of Economic Freedom Award for lifetime scores of at least 90.

Freshman Republican U.S. Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Tulsa was among eight freshmen congressmen singled out for scoring 90 percent or above in 2013.
