Lankford Picks Up Gowdy Endorsement
LANKFORD GAINS SUPPORT OF FELLOW CONSERVATIVE CONGRESSMAN TREY GOWDY (R-SC 4)
Oklahoma City, OK – Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC 4) expressed his support today for fellow Congressman and member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, James Lankford, in his race to succeed retiring Oklahoma U.S. Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK):
James is instantly recognizable as a man deeply committed to God, his family, and country.
Serving on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee with James, I learned that he prioritizes government accountability as a legislator. His time on the Committee gave him critical investigative experience during the Obamacare rollout, the murder of four brave Americans in Benghazi, the IRS targeting of conservative groups, and “Fast and Furious.” James was not only a hardworking leader on our committee, but stood out as the most effective questioner. I confidently say this as someone who spent 16 years in a courtroom.
Representatives should be conscientious, hardworking, persuasive, and committed to reflecting their constituency. Lankford embodies these traits; we need him in the U.S. Senate.

Lankford recently received a high-profile endorsement from nationally recognizable conservative, former Governor Mike Huckabee.
Lankford holds a significant lead in all publicly released surveys, including a poll reported by the Washington Post on March 12, 2014 that gave Lankford a 33-point lead over his nearest primary opponent, state representative T.W. Shannon (47% Lankford – 14% Shannon). Lankford also holds a considerable financial advantage over Shannon, as Lankford’s campaign announced that it banked more than $1.2 million for the Senate race since January 20.
