The Hill: Cole’s DC Office A ‘Beauty Pageant Factory’
Congressman Cole’s office is ‘beauty pageant factory’

Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) now has two beauty queens working for him, and one of them is prepping to compete in the Miss America pageant.
Teresa Davis, who works as a staff assistant for the Oklahoma Republican, was just crowned Miss D.C. last month. She’ll go on to represent the nation’s capital at the 88th Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, N.J., in September.
“They kind of call our office now the beauty pageant factory,” Davis, 23, tells ITK with a big laugh.
Davis is the second woman in the congressman’s office to take home a crown — Mary Anne Morgan, a legislative correspondent for Cole, became the 65th Cherry Blossom Queen last year. A former colleague who used to serve as a staff assistant also competed in a Mr. D.C. fundraiser.
“It’s kind of crazy,” Davis says, reflecting on her office’s beauty pageant winning streak.
