Inhofe Blocks Vote To Acknowledge Climate Change Troubles

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe “lives in alternative universe” of the “ignorant, out of touch or crazy,” Rhode Island Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse said Monday night after Inhofe, ever the warrior on behalf of a chosen cause, blocked unanimous consent approval of a Senate resolution acknowledging that climate change exists and is a problem.
To be sure, someone else would have objected had Inhofe not stood in the breach. But it was Inhofe, and, as he often does, the senior senator from Oklahoma lobbed a few hand grenades into the other camp.
Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s resolution, said Inhofe, “demonstrates the influence of the president’s vast global warming advocates.”
Thirteen government agencies, he said, “have been colluding together to promote global warming.”
