OK Democrats Question Inhofe’s Health, Demand Records
Democrats demand Inhofe medical records

OKLAHOMA CITY — State Democratic Party Chairman Wallace Collins tried to flush out U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe on Wednesday by suggesting the 79-year-old incumbent’s refusal to debate Democratic challenger Matt Silverstein might be health related.
“Why is Sen. Inhofe avoiding a one-on-one conversation with Matt Silverstein?” Collins asked in a statement. “We’re left wondering if Sen. Inhofe just doesn’t care. Or can he only handle tightly scripted and controlled environments? What health issues are preventing his participation?”
Collins said Inhofe should release his medical records “in the name of transparency and to show our state that he can handle the pressures of another full term in the U.S. Senate.”
Inhofe, who is seeking a fourth full Senate term, underwent heart surgery last fall but otherwise does not seem to have any obvious health problems.
