November 19, 2014

Lt. Col. Steve Russell, Congressman-elect of Oklahoma’s 5th District, has been elected to a Congressional steering committee to help determine the 114th Congress committee assignments. Russell’s fellow freshman lawmakers elected him to the position on Saturday, November 15th.
“I am humbled to have the support of the members-elect,” voiced Russell. “I will fight hard to fit their conservative values and skills to our congressional committees.”
Freshman Congressmen-elect Mia Love from Utah, Lee Zeldin from New York, and Ryan Zinke from Montana were among the supporters who voted Steve Russell into a leadership position.
“I ran for Congress on the idea of advocating for conservative principles,” Russell says. “I am happy to let the voters of Oklahoma’s 5th District know I will not let them down and we are already building strong alliances to help correct the course of America’s future.”
