Gary Richardson Testing the Waters…Again?

The Tulsa County Republicans Mens Club’s speaker this week is Gary Richardson. Even those with short memories should remember that this is the man who ended Steve Largent’s political career. Yes, there were other factors in that ’02 Gubernatorial race; but Richardson ran as an Independent, spent millions, and chipped away at Largent’s base in Tulsa. The outcome: Governor Brad Henry. Is he now gearing up for another go at Governor? Senate?

The email below is from their board President. TheOkie has confirmed that Richardson is in fact still a registered Independent.

The Tulsa County Republican Mens Club regular monthly luncheon meeting for February, 2013 is going to be Wednesday, February 13, 2012 at the Hibachi Grill, 74th Place and South Memorial Drive. This is on the East side of Memorial Drive . The private dining room is on the right of the entrance at the West end of the building, going through food buffet on the right.

Please try to have your lunch and be seated by opening time of 12:00 noon. We normally adjourn promptly at 1:00 P.M. so those who must can return to work. The restaurant doors and food tables are open at 11:00. The program scheduled is Gary Richardson, an Independent candidate for Governor against Cong. Steve Largent, R, and Brad Henry, D. Mr. Richardson based most of his campaign on the premise of ‘removing the tolls from the turnpikes’ and will be speaking on that subject. There should be time available for questions. It is not known how Mr. Richardson is now registered to vote.
