Star Parker to Headline OK Women’s Conference
The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs (OCPA) recently announced a Women’s Policy and Leadership Conference to take place this March in OKC. It will be headlined by Star Parker. Parker, a syndicated columnist, author and political activist, is a dynamic speaker. One of her best books is Uncle Sam’s Plantation: How Big Government Enslaves America’s Poor and What We Can Do About It.
Below is a recent email invite from Congressman James Lankford’s wife, Cindy, who is helping promote the event:
Dear Friends,
Our personal beliefs and goals — combined with knowledge, wisdom, and experience — govern our daily choices, interactions, and long-range planning. We desire that our legacy be saturated with love and service to others. Therefore, it is vital that our life’s policies be rooted and grounded with determined planning on a firm foundation. Our friends at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs are offering women the opportunity to participate in a fresh discussion on policy — policy that affects us individually and corporately. This unique opportunity, featuring Star Parker and Kate Obenshain, will demonstrate how “real life” policy messaging to women and families impacts us all on a daily basis and affects our futures.
