Inhofe Takes To The Sky For Constituent Meetings

Senator Inhofe’s office sent this constituent email late this afternoon…

Friends,

Last week, I spent time flying solo around the state in my rocket, meeting with many of you. It’s always refreshing to be home with fellow Oklahomans and to hear what is on your minds and how I can best take your concerns back with me to Washington. Here is a quick recap of my most recent stops:

In Durant, I had the opportunity to meet with local business leaders as well as toured the area that will soon become the home to Commercial Metals Company. This company was attracted to invest in Durant because of local community support and is expected to create several new job opportunities, which the Durant Democrat wrote about and can be read by clicking here.

In Norman, I met with local aviation experts to hear how Oklahoma is leading in the research and development of unmanned aerial vehicles for the purpose of improving our lives in areas such as agriculture, security, and more.

In Chickasha, I stopped in to hear from locals and to provide an update of how the committee I chair, the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, is working with the U.S. House of Representatives to pass legislation by the end of this year to improve our nation’s roads and bridges.

If I missed you while out in the sky and on the roads, please don’t hesitate to contact my office to share your stance on upcoming votes or make me aware of issues arising in Oklahoma that my staff and I can help to address.

Sincerely,

Jim Inhofe
