Oklahoma City small business owner and entrepreneur Nick Berry announced he will seek the Republican nomination in House District 85. In his announcement, Berry said, “I feel our district lost our conservative voice, and I’m going to work to bring it back.”

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Berry holds degrees in Energy Management and Entrepreneurship. He co-founded the energy logistics company, QuickSand, and is also an owner of Berry-Rock Homes, a real estate company. As a small business owner, Berry understands the concerns facing business owners and will work to ensure small businesses have every opportunity to thrive in Oklahoma.

In his free time, Berry enjoys sailing on Lake Hefner and is an avid pilot. Berry and his wife, Blakely, are active members of LifeChurch, where they host a weekly life group and are involved with several outreach ministries. “As a volunteer with local ministries assisting the disadvantaged population, I have witnessed how our current approaches to help this demographic have been ineffective and frustrating to all involved. Through the free market system and the church, we can create a city and state which enhances the lives of all Oklahomans”.

When asked about the future of Oklahoma, Berry said, “we have to make some very difficult choices in the near future, however Oklahomans have an enhanced set of values that make Oklahoma unique. Combining our people and the innovativeness of our economy I believe Oklahoma can be a beacon of conservative values for the entire nation”.
