Bixby CPA Enters OK Senate 25 Race

Lisa Kramer Enters SD25 Race
Bixby CPA Lisa Kramer announced today her candidacy for the Oklahoma State Senate District 25.
Kramer stated, “I want to focus on three principles we all share: Governmental Transparency, Maintaining an Educated Citizenship, and Fiscal Responsibility. I believe the key to our enduring freedom is held in these three principles.”

Kramer received her accounting degree from the University of Tulsa. A Certified Public Accountant, Kramer has worked for The Williams Companies and Arthur Andersen, where she obtained extensive knowledge in financial accounting. In her current position as Controller of Affiliated Entities for United States Beef Corporation, Kramer is well-versed in business operations. Kramer’s expertise in these areas, and her CPA experience, will allow her to bring common sense and the know-how to effect change in the state budgeting process. Kramer said, “Our state is facing a financial crisis with the looming budget shortfall. We must make tough choices to ensure the long-term viability of our government.”

“Our government is a representation of us. It spends our money, it shows our priorities, and it stands on our behalf. Let’s demand a government that unites us rather than divides us. Government needs to be held accountable for how our money is spent and ensuring that we are safe. Finally, we need to hold our government accountable in providing a high quality education for our children.”

In addition to serving in her second term on the Bixby School Board, Kramer’s job allows significant flexibility so that she is able to volunteer at her children’s schools, her church, and in various civic organizations.

Kramer has lived in Bixby for over fifteen years and loves the community because the schools are good, the yards are big, and the people are neighborly. Kramer is married to Rodney, also an accountant, and has two daughters, Katie and Grace. Katie graduated from Bixby High School in 2015, and Grace is a member of the BHS Class of 2017.
