Governors Visit Highlights OKC’s Homeless Youth, Education Issues
Fallin, legislators visit school for homeless youngsters

Kids say the darndest things.
A little boy told Gov. Mary Fallin he once accidentally hit her in the hip with a Joe Dorman sign. Another said he lives two blocks from the Governor’s Mansion and hears her dogs bark.
But the humor faded a bit when a girl told the governor she likes her school because it provides food and clothes.
Fallin and two House leaders Thursday were at Positive Tomorrows, a private school in north-central Oklahoma City for homeless youngsters, to show support for legislation that could help parents enroll children in alternatives to public education.
Rep. Jason Nelson, R-Oklahoma City, who joined Fallin along with Rep. Lee Denney, R-Cushing, is fighting for an education savings account bill that barely cleared committee.
