House Leaders To Move Forward With Budget Cuts

House leaders will present budget cuts this week

The Oklahoma House will vote this week on $40 million in spending cuts after lawmakers rejected on Monday a tax increase.

House Floor Leader Jon Echols said the cuts will be combined with whatever money is available this year to handle the remaining $63 million revenue shortfall.

That’s not all. More than $100 million is needed to fill obligations to public schools and the state’s university medical schools, but those payments will have to wait until the beginning of fiscal year 2019, which starts July 1.

A equally mixed Government is the best for all because both Political Parties are Super Corrupt and Untrustworthy.
    Republicans are liberals and socialist to the wealthy Special Interests and Conservative toward the poor, working class, middle class, and the elderly.

  • Need to cut lawmakers pay back to $25,000 per year with no benefits. Need to cut all elected and appointed officials pay. Oklahoma has far too many over paid political figures and their cronies in state government.
