Pruitt Comments on Abortion Review to SCOTUS

Attorney General Pruitt’s Statement on U.S. Supreme Court Petition to Review Oklahoma Abortion Case

“We have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review Oklahoma’s law that seeks to protect women from harmful off-label uses of abortion-inducing drugs such as RU-486,” Attorney General Scott Pruitt said. “Oklahoma’s law does not ban the use of the drug, but does require proper protocols to be followed. There is strong evidence that the off-label use of abortion-inducing drugs leads to serious infections and death for many healthy, unsuspecting women. This is not OK. Our job is to protect the citizens of Oklahoma and defend the State Constitution, which does not provide the right to abortion.”
