All but one of six incumbent city councilors in Jenks and Glenpool won another term Tuesday night while Skiatook charted a new course with its elections under a new form of government.
Skiatook: All seven city council seats were up for grabs in Skiatook following the passage of a November proposition by 61.2 percent of the vote to switch from a town form of government to council-city manager type.
The town will be served by seven councilors instead of five trustees. Under the new city council format, six councilors were selected from wards and another at large.
Two trustees seeking a councilor seat won Tuesday: Joyce Jech in Ward 3 and Randy Sien in Ward 5. At-large candidate Leon O’Neal, charged last week with animal cruelty, finished last in his three-person race.
