Political endorsements are trickling in for Tulsa’s three leading mayoral candidates, with former Mayor Kathy Taylor taking an early lead in big-name supporters less than two months before the June 11 primary.
Taylor’s campaign claims endorsements from six former high-level state officials, four sitting state legislators and several well-known local names, including the only city councilor to endorse a candidate so far.
Mayor Dewey Bartlett can claim several well-established Republicans, while endorsements for former City Councilor Bill Christiansen include conservative activist groups and the city’s municipal union.
All three campaigns say they expect their lists to grow as numerous mayoral forums and candidate events sway more undecided voters in the coming weeks.
