Mayoral candidate Bill Christiansen will continue pressing former Mayor Kathy Taylor over her handling of the city’s 2008 Great Plains Airlines lawsuit settlement despite her legal “intimidation” over a recent automated phone poll that claimed she broke the law, he said Monday.
“The citizens of Tulsa need to know these facts,” Christiansen told reporters at a news conference Monday. “This will be a campaign issue because … if you look at the past, sometimes you can predict the future.”
Taylor’s attorney warned Christiansen in a letter provided to the Tulsa World last week that “litigation is being considered” over potentially libelous statements in the recent “robocall” push poll.
Christiansen said he bought the poll from David Weston Research, a firm owned by recently elected state Republican Party Chairman David Weston. The company sent it to about 3,000 Tulsa phone numbers on or around April 7, a campaign official said.
I can,t believe that kathy taylor is running again for mayor. In my opinion, I guess she didn,t make enough money off of tulsans the last time. She gave us a ballpark downtown that we didn,t want or need that cost the tulsa tax payers 60 million dollars and I heard it was because she had a vested interest in the land that the new ballpark sits on. She also took control for the tulsa fair away from the county and the fair hasn’t been worth a nickle ever since. She also forced Bells Amusement park off the fair grounds. These are just a few of the things she did. She did a lot more that I won.t mention here. If she gets back in, there is no telling what she will do to tulsa before she gets back out
