Oklahoma Republican legislative leaders and the GOP governor have reached a budget deal, several lawmakers told The Oklahoman on Thursday.
Details of the $7 billion budget deal will be released Thursday afternoon at a news conference with the governor and legislative leaders. Details of the plan were presented Thursday morning to GOP lawmakers in private caucus meetings.
“I’m very excited that we’ve reached an early budget deal,” Gov. Mary Fallin said. “We’ve been working over the last month to meet with the House and Senate leadership.”
