Inhofe says Obama lies with conviction

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe is emphatic when he says he is not a declared candidate for re-election in 2014. But he is also open about raising money for his campaign, and concluded his remarks at Friday’s Tulsa Republican Club luncheon with what sounded an awful lot like fightin’ words.

“Never in the history of our country have we had a president with so much disdain for every institution that made America great,” he said. “I can’t leave my 20 kids and grandkids out there alone. I’m going to do all I can to stop this trend in this country.”

Earlier, Inhofe demonstrated his well-documented animosity toward President Obama by comparing him unfavorably to Bill Clinton.

“I used to say Bill Clinton could lie with conviction better than anyone in the history of politics,” Inhofe said. “He can’t touch (Obama).”
