OKLAHOMA CITY - Judicial reform will be a top priority in the upcoming legislative session, House Speaker T.W. Shannon said Wednesday.
His remarks were made during an Oklahoma City forum sponsored by the Oklahoma State Chamber.
Shannon, R-Lawton, said the third branch of government should not be making policy. A recently passed workers compensation reform law is also facing a legal challenge before the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
The Oklahoma Supreme Court has recently tossed out several highly touted pieces of GOP-backed laws, including restrictions on abortion and lawsuit reform.
