Reports Reveal Taylor Spent $131.01 Per Vote, Bartlett $35.74

Tulsa mayoral race results show record spending

The final leg of the city’s recent mayoral race pushed already record-setting expenses even higher, recently filed reports with the State Ethics Commission show.

Contribution reports show Mayor Dewey Bartlett spent more than $460,000 from Oct. 29 through the early-November election. Former mayor Kathy Taylor spent more than $930,000 in the same period.

In all, the Bartlett and Taylor campaigns totaled $5.67 million in expenditures, with the majority coming from Taylor’s campaign.

Taylor spent $4.25 million, while Bartlett spent $1.4 million.

Overall, Bartlett spent $35.74 per vote in the general election, while Taylor spent $131.01. Bartlett picked up 39,695 votes in the November election to Taylor’s 32,496.
