Shannon Announces OK House Support

Fellow House Members Support T.W. Shannon for Senate

LAWTON, OK (February 13, 2014) — Forty-seven Republican House members announced today that they are supporting their colleague and former Speaker of the House in his bid for the United States Senate.

“I’m humbled to have the endorsements of my colleagues,” Shannon said. “I appreciated the opportunity to serve as their speaker, but I am equally honored for their willingness to put their credibility on the line to endorse my campaign for the United States Senate.

“Together, we fought against federal encroachment into Oklahoma, and now we plan to stop Washington, D.C. We need to stop the culture of spending and debt. We need to stop federal bureaucrats and Congress from dictating to the states.

“These leaders expanded freedom, reduced debt, and reduced taxes. Oklahoma is an example of what can happen, when those patriots who believe in freedom are determined to make a difference,” Shannon said.
