Todd Hiett announces bid for corporation commission

OKLAHOMA CITY – Former House Speaker Todd Hiett said Thursday that he will run for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

The post is currently held by Patrice Douglas, a Republican who is running for Congress.

Hiett, of Kellyville, was the first Republican House speaker in modern history.

Hiett was elected to the House in 1994 and served 12 years before being subject to term limits.
