OKLAHOMA CITY – A Senate committee passed a measure Monday that a critic said would make the restrictions on abortion providers more onerous and could lead to fewer services for women.
House Bill 2015 by Rep. Sean Roberts, R-Hominy, and Sen. Kyle Loveless, R-Oklahoma City, would increase the amount of information physicians who perform abortions are required to report to the state Department of Health, which then posts the information on its website.
It was approved Monday by the Senate Health and Human Services Committee.
The added information ranges from where the physician had hospital privileges at the time of the abortion being reported to information about an ultrasound and the probable age of the fetus.
