AMR Needs More Time for Reorganization Plan
American Airlines seeks more time for plan

American Airlines’ parent company, AMR Corp., is asking for six more weeks to present a bankruptcy reorganization plan, according to documents filed in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York Thursday.
AMR has until April 15 to present an exclusive plan to reorganize the company, including a framework for the pending merger with US Airways.
The company is now asking to extend that deadline to May 29. The motion is expected to be heard on March 27 when Judge Sean Lane also considers the US Airways merger proposal.
