OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – A bill that makes it a felony crime to enforce the provisions of the federal health care law has been approved by an Oklahoma House committee.
The House States’ Rights Committee on Tuesday voted for the bill that states the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 are “null and void and of no effect in this state.”
The bill by freshman Republican Rep. Dan Fisher of Yukon makes it a felony punishable by up to five years in prison for any federal official to enforce the provisions of the federal law.
