Bartlett To File, Challenges Opponents To Not ‘Give Up’ on Tulsa
Mayor Bartlett’s filing and challenge candidates to stay committed to Tulsa.
TULSA- On June 11th Tulsans will potentially decide the direction of Tulsa’s future when selecting a mayor. Current Mayor Dewey Bartlett believes the one trait the next mayor of Tulsa must possess is a commitment to the city of Tulsa and a never quit attitude. In February Bartlett announced he would seek re-election and this Tuesday, April 9th, at 10:30, he plans to make it official by filing. Tulsa has had four mayors in the past ten and the constant changing of administrations has slowed Tulsa’s growth. Earlier this week Bartlett sent out a letter and a challenge to the other announced candidates. Bartlett is asking his fellow candidates to sign a commitment to stay in office throughout the entire term and not seek out other political opportunities because he believes Tulsa deserves a mayor that will never give up.
