Bridenstine Sets September 3rd Townhalls

What: Congressman Jim Bridenstine (OK-1) will hold two town hall meetings on September 3rd.
Who: Congressman Jim Bridenstine represents Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He is a Navy pilot and combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and lives in Tulsa with his wife Michelle and their three children. In his first term, Bridenstine has already established himself as a leader for Constitutional liberty and social and fiscal conservatism.
Why: The focus of the town hall meetings will be to discuss the recent events in Washington with constituents and to respond to questions and concerns.

Background: Congressman Jim Bridenstine was elected in 2012 to represent Oklahoma’s First District, which covers Washington, Tulsa, Wagoner Counties plus portions of Rogers & Creek Counties. He serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee.
Jim Bridenstine has become widely recognized in the House for his integrity and commitment to principles. He has held a strong line on upholding the Constitution and rule of law. Jim supports moving toward a balanced budget through spending control, tax reform, and financial measures and policies promoting free markets.
Bridenstine has focused on elimination of Obamacare and reform of other laws and regulations that present a huge burden on the economy. He has introduced legislation and supported a strong national defense, religious freedom, protection of life, free speech and other Constitutional liberties. A fundament aim is restoration of the balance of power within the branches of the federal government consistent with the Constitution.
After completing a triple major at Rice University, Jim became a pilot in the US Navy. He flew the E-2C Hawkeye in combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, then transitioned to the F-18 Hornet and flew at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center, the parent command to TOPGUN, achieving 1,900 flight hours and 333 carrier arrested landings. Following nine years of active duty, Bridenstine obtained an MBA at Cornell University. He is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve where he flew the E-2C Hawkeye in America’s war on drugs before becoming a member of Congress.
