OKLAHOMA CITY - The new leader of the Oklahoma House on Monday will meet with members of his caucus to chart a course for a legislative session that is entering its third week.
Rep. Jeff Hickman, R-Fairview, was elected to replace Rep. T.W. Shannon, R-Lawton, as leader of the 72-member-strong House GOP caucus. Shannon stepped aside to run for U.S. Senate.
Hickman has a rather thick agenda in front of him.
The Senate Appropriations Committee already passed a measure that calls for up to $160 million in bonds to repair the crumbling state Capitol.
