Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett Announces Coburn Endorsement
Says Bartlett is the man for the job.
TULSA, OK, May 20, 2016 – U.S. Senator Tom Coburn endorsed Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett today for re-election, the Bartlett campaign announced.
“Dewey Bartlett has a lifetime of business experience, which is really unique in politics today. The results of his maturity and experience is quite evident in how effectively he has managed Tulsa. I am pleased to endorse him to my fellow Tulsans. He has kept our city strong,” Coburn said.
In response to Coburn’s endorsement Bartlett stated, “Dr. Tom Coburn has been an independent voice who stands for what’s right in spite of the political winds. He is a fiscal conservative who understands that business and life experience matter in managing the people’s money. I’m truly honored to have his endorsement.”
“This race for mayor is about wisdom in the face of immense public pressure, stronger pension funds, a healthy rainy day fund, and delivering basic services in the good economic times and the not so good,” Bartlett said.
