First District Congressman Jim Bridenstine’s campaign fund received almost $80,000 in contributions during the quarter ending Sept. 30, according to a report filed Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission.

Bridenstine, a Republican, is unopposed in his bid for re-election this year.

The $79,602.34 given to Bridenstine’s fund during the reporting period was by far the least for any of the state’s four returning U.S. representatives. The other three have token opposition in the Nov. 4 general election.

Fourth District Congressman Tom Cole’s campaign took in $226,854.16 for the period. Of that, almost half — $114,444.16 — came from political action committees. Cole is a member of the influential Budget and Appropriations committees and is considered to be among Speaker John Boehner’s inner circle.
