John Doak Gains 3 New Endorsements, Continues to Pile Up Conservative Support
(OKLAHOMA CITY) – Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak added to a long and growing list of campaign supporters with the recent addition of endorsements from three Oklahoma conservative and insurance related groups.
The Oklahoma Conservative Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee (led by long time conservative activist Charlie Meadows), the Sooner Republican Assembly, and the Independent Agents Association of Oklahoma have all voted to endorse Doak’s reelection.
During his first term, Doak has worked with national groups such as the Heritage Foundations and Cato Institute to oppose Obamacare and socialized medicine. While his strong stand and conservative solutions have garnered national attention, his first priority has always been the citizens of our state.
Doak has worked tirelessly to serve every area of Oklahoma, visiting each county every year he’s been in office, fulfilling his campaign pledge to do so.
When it comes to conservative fiscal policies, Doak has led by example. Thanks to efficient operations over the last four years, the Oklahoma Insurance Department has returned over $22 million to the state Treasury that it was authorized to spend. This was during a period of historically devastating weather events, like the 2013 tornadoes.
In response to those disasters, the Insurance Department deployed tremendous resources across the state. The Department’s disaster response practices have become a national model, with Insurance Commissioners from across the country visiting Oklahoma to learn more about them.
Doak has further raised the level of importance for our rural firefighters and protected Oklahomans from insurance fraud, especially our senior citizens!
“I am humbled to receive these endorsements,” Doak said. “The Sooner Republican Assembly is based in Moore, a community we’ve had a long term commitment to assisting since the May 2013 tornado.
The members of OCPAC and Charlie Meadows have been great resources and allies in the fight for conservative values, not just for me but all Oklahoma elected officials for years. And the Independent Agents are the backbone of our industry throughout the state.
With the support of great groups like these, and the continued help of people across the state, I am confident we will be successful on June 24th!”
