Douglas Gaining Momentum as Prominent Oklahoma Legislators Voice Support in Republican Primary Runoff
State Reps. Randy Grau, Marian Cooksey, Lewis Moore, Justin Wood Highlight Douglas’ Business Experience and Dedication to Conservative Principles 

EDMOND, OK – Conservative Republican for Congress Patrice Douglas is gaining momentum with less than six weeks until the August 26 Republican primary runoff. Today, a number of prominent Oklahoma State Representatives today endorsed Douglas for Congress and urged fellow Oklahomans to support her candidacy. Reps. Randy Grau (Edmond), Marian Cooksey (Edmond), Lewis Moore (Arcadia), and Justin Wood (Shawnee) praised Douglas for her business background and work standing up for Oklahoma jobs and working families as Mayor and Corporation Commissioner.

“Patrice Douglas is the clear conservative choice for Congress in the Fifth District,” Rep. Grau said.

“As Edmond Mayor and Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner, Patrice has been a great partner at the State House. She has never backed down from the tough fight, has faced head on the Obama administration, and there is no doubt she will be steadfast in protecting and defending the U.S. Constitution in the battle against a runaway federal government,” Rep. Cooksey said.

“Patrice Douglas’ conservative values, strong business experience and Fifth District ties are exactly what we need in our next Congressman,” Rep. Wood said.

“Politics in Washington requires toughness, intelligence, attention to detail and perseverance. The best person I know for this mission is Patrice Douglas. Legislating is tough business. Douglas commended the dedicated the service of Grau, Cooksey, Moore, and Wood. “As a longtime fifth district resident, I applaud their commitment to public service and ensuring that our government in Oklahoma City works for the people. I am grateful for their vocal support and commitment to the conservative values we all share – lower taxes, a balanced budget, and smaller government. I am proud to stand with them as our campaign marches on to August 26 and beyond to November.”

The Republican run-off will occur Tuesday, August 26, 2014.
