Election Board Tool Provides Voter Info
New tool on Oklahoma Election Board website provides voter information
By Rick Green
It just got easier to vote.
The state Election Board on Wednesday placed a new tool on its website — www.ok.gov/elections — telling voters the location of their polling place, a map to get there, information on their political districts and even a sample ballot.
“The new Online Voter Tool gives Oklahomans unprecedented online access to their voter information,” state Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax said. “We are especially happy to have this service up and running in time for the June 24 primary election.”
The site prompts users to provide their names and birth dates.
Registered voters then will see their voter identification numbers, their party affiliations, their counties and the numbers of their precinct and political districts. There are also maps to polling places and county election boards.
Sample ballots also will be available on the site two weeks before a federal or state election.
