Inaugural summit to take place in Tulsa, Feb. 15
TULSA, Okla. (Feb. 4, 2014) – Americans for Prosperity-Oklahoma (AFP-OK), OCPA Impact and the Tulsa 9.12 Project will host the inaugural Growth and Opportunity Summit in Tulsa on Saturday, Feb. 15.
“Our goal is to help continue to make Oklahoma the place to prosper,” said John Tidwell, director for AFP-OK. “Attendees will hear from state leaders and leading experts on limiting federal government, creating a reasonable approach to income taxes and boosting our economy.”
The Growth and Opportunity Summit will take place Saturday, Feb. 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Tulsa Tech – Lemley Campus. Speakers include Attorney General Scott Pruitt, U.S. Rep. Jim Bridenstine, Oklahoma Senators Rick Brinkley and David Holt, and Oklahoma Representatives Leslie Osborn and Tom Newell.
“The speakers we have been fortunate enough to bring in make this summit unique to our state,” said Dave Bond, CEO of OCPA Impact. “To have representation from the state and federal level will give insight to how all elected bodies are working together to make Oklahoma prosper.”
Other speakers to include: Travis Brown, author of How Money Walks from High-Tax to Low-Tax States; Steve Anderson, budget director for the State of Kansas and Jonathan Small, vice president of policy for the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs.
“This summit will hit the hard issues of how to make Oklahoma the best state in the union,” said Ronda Vuillemont-Smith of the Tulsa 9.12 Project. “We continue to make our mark as top-of-the-line in many industries, but now we are setting the stage to take off and prosper greatly.”
