Henke Vows Veto Override Vote

STATEMENT: Rep. Henke Comments on Governor’s Veto of HB 2625

OKLAHOMA CITY – State Rep. Katie Henke, R-Tulsa, released the following statement today regarding the governor’s veto of House Bill 2625:

“I am extremely disappointed in the governor’s decision to veto legislation that empowers parents and educators to make individualized decisions in regard to the unique needs of Oklahoma students. This bill has had unparalleled support in both chambers – 43-1 in the Senate and 89-6 in the House. I look forward to standing with my colleagues to override this veto.” – Rep. Katie Henke, R-Tulsa
