ADVISORY: Senators Lankford, Heitkamp to Unveil New Initiative to Make Federal Regulations Work Better for Families and Businesses
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In their new leadership roles overseeing the federal regulatory process, Senators James Lankford (R-OK) and Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) will unveil a new initiative to hear from families and businesses across the country about how federal regulations impact them on a daily basis at a press conference tomorrow, Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 8:30am CT in Washington DC.
As Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs and Federal Management, Lankford and Heitkamp will use this initiative to hear firsthand from families, businesses owners, and workers about the daily impact of federal regulations, and help determine what can be done to make them more effective and efficient.
The announcement follows their first Subcommittee hearing last week to investigate commonsense improvements that the federal government can make to promote federal rules that work best for families and businesses.
