Mullin Fields Questions At Durant Town Hall

Mullin fields questions from Bryan County citizens

Oklahoma’s new 2nd District congressman visited Durant on Tuesday, gathering input and concerns from a group of around 100 people.

Markwayne Mullin, elected last fall as a Republican representative from Adair County, urged people to put aside their political differences for the good of the country.

“You may not agree with all my views, but know this: I love this country and I’m going to make decisions based on what’s best for this country,” he said before fielding questions from the morning gathering at Donald W. Reynolds Community Center & Library.

The visit was one of more than two dozen town hall style meetings being held by Mullin across the Second District during a Congressional recess. He largely left the meetings in the hands of attendees, taking questions and comments from about a dozen people.
