Poll: Ben Carson leads Republican presidential field in Oklahoma

Support for his positions on moral issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage help make Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson the top choice among Oklahoma GOP voters for now, new polling data says.

A poll of 500 registered voters conducted last week by The Oklahoman in partnership with Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates, an Oklahoma City-based polling firm, found Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, finishing first in a field of 14 Republican candidates.
