OK Delegation Sounds Off On ObamaCare Defunding Vote

Oklahoma House members comment on spending bill that defunds Obamacare

The U.S. House voted 230-189 on Friday to keep the government open until Dec. 15 while denying funds for implementing Obamacare. All five members from Oklahoma –all Republican– voted for the bill.

Rep. Jim Bridenstine, of Tulsa: “Today, the House of Representatives passed a Continuing Resolution that funds the government, prevents a shutdown, and stops ObamaCare from being imposed on the American People.

“The fight to stop ObamaCare now turns to the Senate, and the American people expect and deserve an up or down vote on the bill passed in the House.

“As I travel around the 1st District of Oklahoma, people tell me about their businesses struggling to keep employees, cutting staff to part-time work, and individuals facing skyrocketing insurance premiums.
