Gov. Mary Fallin outlined her agenda and budget proposal for the legislative session now underway, and it lines up with the recently announced OneVoice agenda in many respects, but conflicts with it in one major but predictable regard.
The OneVoice legislative agenda, announced last week by the Tulsa Regional Chamber, listed 20 priorities for the 2013 legislative session—10 federal and 10 state—but focused on three top priorities: Medicaid expansion, education funding, and workers’ compensation reform.
The regional agenda received a record number of endorsements this year, with 61 municipalities, chambers, and educational and economic development organizations having collaborated to produce it.
