OKLAHOMA CITY — The two principals in last year’s long-running House District 71 races were involved in a minor drama at the Capitol this week.
Dan Arthrell, a Democrat who lost to Republican Katie Henke in the November general election after an April special election was invalidated by the state Supreme Court, was accused Wednesday of improperly taking a cell phone photograph of Henke’s empty office.
Arthrell, a lobbyist who spends a good deal of time at the Capitol, said he took the photo on a whim “to show my wife.”
Arthrell said he went down a corridor past Henke’s office to see Rep. Ken Walker, R-Tulsa, but Walker was not in. On his way out, Arthrell said he stopped and took the picture.
