OKLAHOMA CITY — An official with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has died, officials reported Saturday morning. Capt. Rodrick “Pete” Norwood, an 18-year veteran of the OHP, died as the result of a sudden illness in an Oklahoma City area hospital, according to an OHP report. Read more…

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of OHP Capt. Norwood. He was an amazing man. Please keep his family in your prayers.”
“Everyone who works in the Capitol is in shock this morning. Trooper Pete Norwood died suddenly this morning of a heart attack. Pete was one of those guys whom everyone liked. He served as the Troopers’ point of contact with the legislature. He was such a good man who held the respect of all of us. Our prayers go to his young family as well as the deep gratitude of the people of Oklahoma for his service to our state.”
