The American Airlines Maintenance & Engineering Center at Tulsa International Airport “will not be going away,” the CEO of NORDAM said.
Meredith Siegfried said the Tulsa center is supported by US Airways the proposed merger partner with the bankrupt American Airlines and the combined airline would be good for Tulsa.
The two airlines are “very, very good customers” of Tulsa-based aerospace company, she told members of the University of Tulsa’s Friends of Finance at their March meeting.
Siegfried said she sees the merger as a “very good thing” since an airline has to be one or two in the market to make money.
