Silverstein Trying To Turn Up The Heat On Inhofe
Silverstein, Inhofe campaigns trade barbs

The campaigns of Republican U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe and Democrat Matt Silverstein took turns calling each other liars late last week.
Silverstein, struggling mightily for traction against the three-term incumbent, said Inhofe has repeatedly misquoted the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Inhofe’s campaign, doing its best to ignore the upstart challenger, said Silverstein is telling some fibs of his own, including his characterization of Inhofe as an ineffective legislator who misses more votes than any other senator.
Citing GovTrack.us, a nonpartisan vote-tracking service, Silverstein’s campaign said Inhofe has been principal sponsor of nine bills signed into law during his 20 years in the Senate and eight in the House. Three of those named post offices, leaving six of some substance.
