OKLAHOMA CITY — Gov. Mary Fallin is expected to vacate the Governor’s Mansion for six months starting at the end of May so repairs can be made.
The State Capitol Preservation Commission received an update on the need for repairs Thursday.
“The governor moving out of the mansion for six months is a big deal,” said Trait Thompson, commission chairman.
Dan Ross, administrator of Capital Assets Management for the Office of Management and Enterprise Services, said the repair plan and moving schedule are contingent on Fallin’s approval.
