In March, Lankford and Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) launched the bipartisan #CutRedTape Initiative, a new way for American families and businesses to communicate with the Senate about how federal regulations impact them. Lankford and Heitkamp are Chairman and Democrat Ranking Member, respectively, of the Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs and Federal Management within the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

The American Action Forum is a nonprofit issue advocacy organization run by former Congressional Budget Office Director Doug Holtz-Eakin. Periscope is a live video streaming social media app primarily used on mobile devices.
